ኣብ 1929 ዝተወልዱ ኣቡነ ኣንጦንዮስ ኣብ 2004 ፓትርያርክ ኮይኖም፡። ንምትእትታው መንግስቲ ኣብ ኦርቶዶክሳዊት ቤተ ክርስቲያን ኤርትራ ብምቅዋሞም፡ ኣብ 2006 ካብ ስልጣኖም ተኣልዮም፡ ስዒቡ ድማ ድማ ተኣሲሮም። ኣብ ኤርትራ ድማ ኣብነታዊ ኣቦን ንሓቂ ዝጣበቑን ኮይኖም ይቕጽሉ ኣለዉ።
Born in 1929, Abune Antonios became Patriarch in 2004. Due to government interference in the Eritrean Orthodox Church, he was deposed in 2006 then imprisoned. He remains in Eritrea as a symbolic father and truth-teller.
